Gorilla Glue # 4 is currently one of the most sought after clones and this is hardly surprising since it is really a strain that stands out from the rest in terms of both cultivation and smoking.
Gorilla Glue, also known as Original Glue, is a cannabis strain highly praised for its psychoactive ability. It has an average THC content of 24 to 30%. However, some samples were measured with an incredible 32% THC. Gorilla Glue # 4 took first place in the Best Hybrid category at the 2014 Los Angeles Cannabis Cup and the Michigan Medical Cannabis Cup 2014, thereby consolidating its reputation among the cannabis community.
Originally from the cross between Chem Sister, Sour Dubb and Chocolate Diesel, the version published by Seeds66 was created from two hand-picked strains of Gorilla Glue # 4 that we got from America. In California, our gardener Harry Pale made it a wonderful feminized strain.
However, the outstanding feature of GG # 4 is its rich resin production, which cannot be compared to other varieties. A white trichome layer develops during flowering, making it ideal for resin extraction. Insanely high resin production, therefore suitable for concentrate extraction.
The growth of Gorilla Glue
The good news is that the Gorilla Glue # 4 is very sturdy and forgives many beginner mistakes that are common in plant care. When casting, follow the basic rules to avoid fatal mistakes.
Gorilla Glue # 4, which shows a slight indica dominance, is vigorous in growth, so that a vegetation period of 3-4 weeks is usually sufficient for indoor growth. The plants will produce many secondary branches, a characteristic that makes them very good for growth in the SCROG technique to maximize yields. It tolerates fertilization well.
Flowering is quick and takes between 8 and 9 weeks to achieve a very heavy harvest, which can reach 600 g per m2 indoors. Despite its dense buds, the Gorilla Glue has no mold problems and is quite resistant to fungal attack.
Also pay attention to a balanced ratio of heat and humidity. During the flowering period, the temperature should be between 20 and 26 ° C, while the relative humidity must be between 40% and 50%.
